Operation Restore Hope Begins: The Revival of Mission Japan

Mission Japan 2023 Summer/Winter Trips

We are planning for trips during
August 2-19 December 18-January 8 December 20-January 2 |

  • One of the least Christian percentages in the world: out of a population of 130 million (13 million being in Tokyo), only less than 1% are born-again believers of Christ in Japan.
  • Youth suicide crisis: suicide being the primary cause of death among Japanese teens and young adults; compared against WHO statistics, Japan is the only economically advanced country where suicide is the leading cause of death among those between the ages of 15-34.
  • Youth missions: we help, encourage, and support fellow believers in Japan (especially the youth group), to reach out to unsaved lives in Japan.
  • Local church support: we serve for local churches in special Christmas events (including: Kid's Christmas, Special Christmas Eve candlelight service, Church Café, Kid's English Club, and Gospel music outreach), major church cleaning, and a special new year's event (year-end countdown, rice cakes, and new year decorations).
  • High school youth camp: we participate and serve for Hi-B.A. (High School Born-Againers), special Christmas events and winter outreach youth camp.
  • December 21 – January 2: estimated cost: $2,000 (flight cost, transportation and lodging all included: food and other personal expenses not included)
  • August 2-19

Summer trip to Japan focused on laying out the groundwork for future missions trips to Japan later in the year

  • December 18-January 8

Winter trip to Japan centered around enjoying fellowship with Shonan Grace Chapel during Christmas and New Years celebrations

  • December 20-January 2

Winter trip to Japan aimed at encouraging the youth group to minister to the Shonan Grace Chapel throughout their stay, while enjoying the Tokyo SkyTree, the Imperial Palace, and other sightseeing destinations as well. Along the way, the group will have the chance to try traditional Japanese foods, participate in the Highschool Born-Againers Winter Camp, and meet and fellowship with local Japanese christians.
